• Max Speed:  The manufacturers of this electric skateboard claim that the Fantom has a max speed of 10 mph, but some owners of the board claim to go as fast as 14mph. The board’s various levels of speed are controlled by a slow, medium and fast switch on the wireless controller. Having complete control over the speed levels is a nice feature that is usually found with premium electric skateboards.

• Range: Most electric skateboards come with a set range,  but since this board isn’t a true form of transportation it only has a riding time of about 30 minutes depending on the terrain. While this may not seem like a lot of time, for the low price of  about $160 it makes sense.

• Power:The Altered Fantom is built with a 100 watt belt drive electric motor and a 12-volt, 7amp rechargeable battery system.  Owners of the Fantom report that the battery fully charges in bout 40 minutes.  The Fantom has a decent amount of power for being such a small board. The power to the board will cut out when pushing the weight limit. If the power to the board ever cuts out just give the motor a few minutes to cool off and you’ll be running again.
